How is The Speech Path LLC addressing concerns of the COVID-19 pandemic?
Teletherapy is available for most insurance plans.
For in-person sessions:
All equipment is sanitized before and after each session
CDC handwashing techniques are followed before every session
Double-masking protocol is in place for all sessions, gloves, gowns and additional PPE is utilized as necessary
Temperature checks throughout the day, any symptoms of fever, cough, congestion, loss of taste/smell, difficulty breathing results in immediate rescheduling of sessions.
All clients are pre-screened for the above listed symptoms prior to every session.
6 Feet of space is maintained between SLP and client whenever feasible during the session.
Out of doors therapy sessions available upon request and weather permitting.

Previous speech therapy sessions have occurred at: Target, The Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium, The Durham Museum, The Joselyn Art Museum, and Laurtizen Gardens, just to name a few. Whether gaining the confidence to utilize fluent speech in finding items at the grocery store; using a LOUD voice to comment on a rare flower at the gardens; or using word finding skills to read and comment on a picture in the art museum; The Speech Path LLC believes therapy should be engaging and unique to each client's communication goals.
